Yahoo Turn off the 10 Mobile Application
San Francisco, USA - A number of Yahoo's mobile applications will no longer be available. As the pace of reform under the leadership of new CEO Scott Thompson, Yahoo decided to shut down its mobile application 10.
The reason Yahoo, as quoted from Cellular-news, on Tuesday (1/31/2012), this decision did to respond mobile market is changing very fast.
"Our plan is to continue to advance, innovate and regularly measure and criticize what should and should not be done, so we can create space for a great new product," wrote Yahoo on their official blog.
However, Yahoo said the company remains committed to a 'mobile first' and promised to develop new services in the future.
Here are 10 apps that Yahoo discontinued its services:
- Yahoo Meme (iPad and iPhone)
- Yahoo Meme (IPAD)
- Yahoo Answers (Android)
- Yahoo AppSpot (Android and iPhone)
- Yahoo Deals (iPhone)
- Yahoo Finance (BlackBerry)
- Yahoo Movies (Android)
- Yahoo News (Android)
- Yahoo Shopping (iPhone)
- Yahoo Sketch-a-Search (iPad and iPhone)
