Symantec has just discovered a new malware that has been attacked Andorid 5 million users, but other antivirus experts said it is not a rogue application.
This assumption is expressed by Lookout Mobile Security, one of the vendors who have been around long enough keamaan smart phone applications.
According to Lookout, as quoted on his official blog, which use the services Apperhand counterclank not a virus but just the SDK to run ads on the application running.
This is certainly very contrary to the opinion of Symantec. Previously, manufacturers had claimed counterclank antivirus malware that is dangerous because it can steal sensitive data to their victims.
Worse yet, according to Symanntec counterclank has infected millions of users of Android through the 13 applications in the Android Market.
"Until now it (counterclank-red) is more visible as a means of advertising a little violate privacy boundaries, instead of harmful malware. But this should still be considered and we will try to find solutions," wrote Lookout, as quoted, Tuesday (31/12 / 2012).
